Welcome to Thoughts Over Chai.
I am Tasneem, living in Dubai (United Arab Emirates). I cook, photograph, review, write about many places we visit and love to share memories on this blog. My food philosophy is all about celebrating the many nuances of simple life, together with my little family who is shaping my life’s umpteen culinary desires.
A qualified accountant and after having worked for 5+ years in the Finance industry, I decided to quit after Little A was born. Presently, I delve into polishing my culinary eagerness and work as a digital media assistant to a few companies.
The recipes on this blog draw immense cultural influences from the cities I have lived in – Nagpur, Hyderabad, Bombay and Dubai and continue to explore my little one’s growing taste buds. You wouldn’t find me shop at gourmet stores or constantly use fancy ingredients in my pantry; although love to come up with solutions to twist a regular meal into irresistible treats. There’s no excuse of not cooking great, fresh food even if you’re short on time and budget. Let’s celebrate the joy of home-cooked meals that are cost-effective, simple and easy to make!
This blog is the culmination of my thoughts, my inspirations and my diary of daily life that I attempt to share with my readers. So grab a cup of tea (chai) and join me in this exciting journey of good food, clean ingredients and let’s make some lasting memories together!
